The heroic image is from the front page of St. Thomas University’s alumni magazine, prominently featuring John Abraham. As you might suspect from the picture, the article is very favourable. It is encouraging to see universities supporting their faculty standing up for reality. (It’s not universally the case, though.)

He holds a doctorate from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences where he developed a 3-D ocean model on a custom computing platform.
