Truth Has Nice Boots

Often misattributed to Mark Twain or Winston Churchill (what no Lincoln or Einstein?) “A lie will go round the world while truth is pulling its its boots on.” was considered proverbial by C H Spurgeon in 1859.

Ed Davies has a couple of very sensible postings which rebut some offhand “skeptic” silliness, and illustrate why the truth takes a good long time to get its boots on. They also illustrate why truth has really very nice boots.
