Barry Bickmore points to a few talks on the subject that look promising:
Kari Norgaard: Living in Denial: Climate Change, Emotions and Everyday Life
Anthony Lieserowitz: Climate Change in the American Mind
Barry himself: Climate Change and the Open Mind
Robert Figueroa: Extending Environmental Values from Ethics to Justice and Back Again
Eric Wielenberg: Climate Change and the Death of God
OMG! Communication? I tried 3 videos. Worst audio quality of any talks I never watched. Beyond ridiculous.
Now here's a series of communications worth seeing:

I guess most of the talks are worth seeing. E.g. I would be interested in "Climate Change and the Death of God". But it's not understandable for me. There is Hans Jonas' "The concept of God after Auschwitz" (in German). A similar problem is posed by global ecosuigenocide. This seems one force driving denial. (Classic example: U.S. congressman Shimkus, caught on a classic Climate Crock video.)
I have a problem with lots of hour-long videos, but Martin Gisser got me interested by his wholesale condemnation of audio quality (not true on my computer) and I started on Kari Norgaard's. With English being my first language, and using it as radio while I did a few other things until it got my attention, I quite liked it and will be checked some of the others as time permits.
I jotted down some of the words which resonated with me:
serious troubles of people around us are "recognized by not seen"
We "work to not think about things that are disturbing"
"create a culture of silence .... power .... Knowing or not knowing is a political act"
My last scribble is a mite incoherent: "disempowered ... literal denial"
Martin, I like the Yale/Sinclair one on fishing/sportspeople, and found Alun Hubbard rather a hunk. Tastes differ 😉 I looked him up and he owns a yacht! He seems to have been involved in the Extreme Ice project - that great movie:

The Lieserowitz talk goes a long way toward addressing questions I had re: talking to political conservatives about climate change. As best I recall he made a brief appearance on the Bill Maher show, but that was way too short a time to get the points across.
