Uh-Oh: Greenland Surface Melting off to a Quick Start

Tom Yulsman in Discover Magazine:

It’s too soon to tell whether this is just a flash in the pan or the start of a really big melt year. There are examples in the past when “brief spikes of 30 and 40 percent occurred even though the year turned out to be fairly normal,” [NSIDC lead scientist] Scambos told me…greenland_melt_area_plot2

That said, “Persistence at this level would get my attention,” Scambos says.

  1. Goddard makes a good point .. "Ping Back"...

The one day of Hysteria in Greenland is gone... so where's THAT Headline guys? Meanwhile the Arctic isn't melting so fast this year while Antarctica is amassing huge amounts of Ice while remaining at record cold Temps... Where's the Article on that guys?

Isn't it obvious this team here is cherry-picking events to support Global Warming while ignoring other big events which don't support the claim?

Satellite Data shows 2014 to be near the coldest in its recording history... now suddenly the "Authorities" on Global warming are back to Temp Stations on Land ... ignoring technology and the more accurate Satellite data... This whole issue is a mess.. tampering and flat out lying needs to stop.
