Ice Loss Acceleration

In an article by Tim Radford in the Guardian, Angela Humbert is quoted saying

Since 2009, the volume loss in Greenland has increased by a factor of about two, and the West Antarctic ice sheet by a factor of three.”

This is somewhat compensated by increased precipitation and ice growth in the Antarctic interior, but I am willing to assert that it’s unlikely that such growth is comparably accelerating.
